He has served as the Chairman of Religious Affairs for the NAACP of Monroe County, NC., and on the Board of Directors for Operation Reach Out in Monroe, NC. Dr. Rivers has also served as an Associate Professor and Dissertation Chair at the University of Phoenix School of Advanced Studies and the University of Phoenix-Charlotte School of Business. 

He is the President and CEO of Phronesis Consulting Firm, LLC -- A Business Consulting Firm specializing in Leadership & Project Management. Dr. Rivers is a Business Start-up Specialist.
